L'Abbe François-Xavier studied in Québec and Nicolet; was ordained July 6, 1828.
He became Vicar at Kamouraska (1828-1832), and Vicar in L' Islet (1832-1833) where he became Curé (1833-1881); he founded the commercial college in 1853 and the convent in 1878; was missionary with Saint-Eugene-de-L' Islet (1873-1878). He died at L' Islet 17 August 1881.
