L'abbe François-Xavier, studied in Québec, and was ordained on February 22, 1863. He was Vicar at Montmagny (1863), L' Islet (1863-1865), and Saint-Joseph-of-Beauce (1865-1867); Priest at Holy-Anne-of-Saguenay (18767-1871), Roberval (1871-1878), where he rebuilt the church in 1872; Priest of Laterriére (1878-1889, at the Cathedral of Chicoutimi (1889-1893) and Priest at Chambord (1893-1904). He retired to Québec (1904-1905), died on May 10, 1905 and was buried in Charlesbourg.
